Department: Information System Reports To: SVP/Chief Information OfficerEmployment Status: Full-Time Classification: ExemptLocation: Houston, TX- RequiredPosition SummaryWe are looking for an experienced Application Administrator to oversee and manage our online banking application, online open and fund system, and core banking applications. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in application administration, with a focus on maintaining and optimizing critical banking systems. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with excellent problem-solving skills and a commitment to delivering high-quality support to our members and internal stakeholders.Duties and ResponsibilitiesSystem AdministrationAdminister and maintain the online banking application and core banking application to ensure optimal performance, reliability, and security.Configure and customize application settings according to business requirements and industry best practices.Monitor system health and performance, proactively identifying and resolving issues or anomalies.User Support and Training:Provide technical support to end-users, including troubleshooting application-related issues and answering inquiries.Conduct training sessions on application functionality, updates, and best practices for staff members.Collaborate with internal teams to gather feedback and address user needs and concerns.Security and Compliance:Implement and enforce security protocols and access controls to safeguard sensitive data and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify potential security risks and vulnerabilities, taking appropriate measures to mitigate them.Stay updated on industry trends, security threats, and compliance standards relevant to banking applications.System Upgrades and Enhancements:Plan and execute application upgrades, patches, and enhancements in coordination with software vendors and internal IT teams.Test and validate new features and functionalities before deployment to minimize disruption to operations.Document changes and updates to ensure comprehensive system documentation and knowledge transfer.Incident Management and Resolution:Respond to application-related incidents and outages, following established incident management procedures to minimize downtime and user impact.Collaborate with IT teams and third-party vendors to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in a timely manner.Document incident details, root cause analysis, and resolution steps for future reference and improvement.Knowledge and SkillsBachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.Proven experience (5 years) in application administration, preferably in the banking or financial services industry.Proficiency in administering online banking applications and core banking systems (preference for NCR/DI and Corelation Keystone)Strong understanding of security principles, compliance standards (e.g., PCI DSS), and regulatory requirements relevant to financial institutions.Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze complex issues and implement effective solutions.Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels.Experience with project management methodologies.Strong documentation skills for knowledge sharing.ADA RequirementsPerform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting up to 5 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment, including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely work on a computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance.
