Job DescriptionJob Title: System ArchitectJob Location: Long Island, NY (25% onsite, 75% remote)Clearance: Must be authorized to work in the USSKILLS REQUIRED· Proficient in the use of Microsoft VISIO and AutoCAD· Ability to perform equipment level design for the mechanical andelectrical details of field enclosures.· Ability to engage with the customer and effectively communicate new orrevised designs.· Ability to read and understand the facility or field site constructionblueprints of new or existing buildings.· Ability to utilize Microsoft Visio/AutoCAD to design and document newinfrastructure requirements to fulfill the requirements of the project.Example: Analyze the power, space and HVAC existing conditions anddetermine if the site can support the new network and computer equipmentinstallations.· Ability to design and document in Microsoft VISIO/AutoCAD the physicallayout and installation requirements to support the Verizon networkinfrastructure at locations that vary from field cabinets tobrick-and-mortar type buildings.· Ability to design and document in Microsoft VISIO/AutoCAD theelectrical cabling installation requirements to support the Verizonnetwork infrastructure, RTU (Remote Terminal Units) and associated powercabling requirements.· Ability to design and document the requirements for Data Centers andCommunication rooms.· Ability to define and document the “Work Scope” required forcontractors to quote a project cost.
