Job Description: Senior Control Systems Engineer
Type: Direct Hire
Salary Range: $80K - $120K based of experience
Schedule:
- Monday through Thursday Onsite
- Remote every Friday
- Business Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Industry: Machine Manufacturing
Reports To: Senior Manager of Engineer
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Control System, or Electrical Mechanical preferred) with a minimum of 5 years of experience in equipment engineering or a related industry.
- Ability to work in an office environment with occasional visits to job sites, test yards, and factories.
- Familiarity with electrical and hydraulic schematics.
- Proficient in reading and understanding C and Simulink code.
- Experience designing off-highway or construction equipment.
- Knowledge of Functional Safety requirements.
- Ability to read and write C++ and C code for embedded applications.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently with a proven track record of project execution.
- Comfortable climbing ladders up to 12 feet.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and revise control systems to meet product requirements.
- Document and design control systems based on product development inputs and specifications.
- Work with electrical, hydraulic, and software subsystems to ensure requirements are met.
- Implement and test control systems on test benches and cranes.
- Provide support for product service and production teams as needed.
- Write requirements and collaborate with cross-functional teams during product development.
- Troubleshoot control systems incorporating hydraulic, electrical, and software components.
- Accurately estimate time for tasks and assess potential risks to timelines.
- Supervise internal or external contractors when required.
- Take accountability for mistakes with a proactive approach to solutions and prevention.
