Job Description: Nexagen Networks is looking for a Systems Engineer to support the acquisition, installation, and life-cycle management of state-of-the-art strategic satellite network control and planning systems for use with the Digital Satellite Communication Systems (DSCS) and Wideband Global Satellite (WGS) satellite systems. The System Engineer will be intimately engaged in the development and integration of wideband subsystems supporting efforts to achieve lifecycle and acquisition milestones. With emphasis on networking, testing and integration the engineer will support a team of laboratory system experts and technicians integrating SATCOM subsystem capabilities into a system of systems environment. The system engineer will assist in achieving a variety of critical milestones to include developing and maintaining design interface, product support management, testing and sustaining engineering documentation. Must be proficient at network and system troubleshooting, developing testing documentation, executing test procedures and documenting results. The candidate will be required to participate in all phases of engineering design reviews briefing key leadership as necessary. Position Responsibilities: Exercise the engineering, scientific, and analytical disciplines necessary to ensure that developed SATCOM platforms, systems/subsystems, and warfighting capabilities have been properly tested and that joint interoperability requirements have been fully met at all levels of their life cycle. System testing activities shall include, as a minimum, testing of new or modernized software applications, systems integration test/system regression test, operational and developmental tests and evaluation and system acceptance testing. Qualifications: 10 years of relevant experience and a bachelor's degree. Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD secret security clearance.
