Position: Systems Engineer II

Openings: 1

Location: Towson, MD 21204

Salary: $115,000/yr

SHIFT: M-F, Core Hours

On-Call: Once every six weeks

  • Required to come on site if situation warrants it, most can be addressed from home
  • On call runs Friday to Friday, 5pm-9am (priority one, that's what you'd support - it's a 4 tier priority system)
  • No pay to just be on call, paid if needed

Interview Process: 30 min phone screen with Manager, panel interview 2nd round, ready to offer from there

Must Haves:

  • 8+ years of experience administering, installing, designing, and engineering systems
  • Strong experience with server virtualization, enterprise SAN Administration and Windows Active Directory
  • Strong experience with Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) solutions – specifically Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop
  • Holds a Bachelor's Degree Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field

Plusses:

  • Strong experience with HIPAA, HITCH, ITL and PMI Practices

Day to Day:

Insight Global is searching for a Systems Engineer in the Towson, MD area. This person will be responsible for supervision, design, install, monitoring and troubleshooting complex technical systems in support of health system applications and users and in compliance with HIPAA guide lines. This person will use technically sophisticated tools to track trends, improve performance, plan capacity, and manage projects. They will analyze user requirements, workflows and procedures with an eye toward automation, process improvement, system security and end user satisfaction. They will create and maintain detailed documentation on systems and processes as well as analyze infrastructure needs for new systems. They will work closely with vendors to specify and manage projects and review servers and applications for security and performance standards. Finally, they will assist as needed to account for the daily operations of networked systems including troubleshooting, disaster recovery, file, print and user administration. This person will work Monday through Friday, core hours, with on-call expectations being once every four weeks.
