System Engineer - Level 3 - Unified Communications

We are looking for a talented and passionate Level 3 System Engineer who would support one of our clients located in the Annapolis Junction, MD area. CANDIDATES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE AN ACTIVE TS/SCI WITH POLYGRAPH TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THE POSITION. Job Description: Key Responsibilities: • Lead the migration and adoption of Microsoft Teams as our primary unified communications platform. • Design, implement, and manage Microsoft Teams environments, including configuration, customization, and integration with other systems. • Provide technical expertise and support for Skype for Business, Jabber, Cisco CMS, VTC (Video Teleconferencing), Oracle SBCs (Session Border Controllers), and other communication services. • Ensure seamless intercommunication between various communication platforms and services. • Collaborate with IT teams and stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scopes, and deliver solutions aligned with business needs. • Conduct thorough testing and troubleshooting to ensure the reliability and performance of unified communications systems. • Develop and maintain documentation, including system configurations, processes, and procedures. • Train end-users on the effective use of unified communications tools and platforms. • Monitor system performance, analyze trends, and implement optimizations and upgrades as needed. • Stay current with industry trends and technologies related to unified communications and recommend improvements or enhancements. Day Shift - Mon-Fri Required Skills, Experience, and Education: Twenty (20) years of experience as an SE in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Bachelor's degree in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Five (5) years of additional SE experience may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree. Required Skills: Ability to manage complex projects and work effectively in a cross-functional team environment Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to addressing issues Experience with Skype for Business, Jabber, Cisco CMS, VTC systems, Oracle SBCs, and other unified communications technologies Proven experience as a Unified Communications Specialist or similar role, with a focus on Microsoft Teams migration and administration Strong expertise in Microsoft Teams administration, including voice and video integration, channels, chat, and collaboration tools Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams IAT Level 2.
