Distribution System Operator

Allied Resources is seeking a Distribution System Operator who will be responsible for the more complex directed single and three-phase switching and customer restoration efforts. A day in the life:

• Monitor and control transmission, distribution, and substation equipment, documenting maintenance, emergent activities, and system issues.
• Analyze load transfers on distribution and transmission systems to prevent overloads and restore customer load efficiently.
• Execute Emergency Load Control Procedures, including firm load shedding, to maintain system integrity during emergencies.
• Prepare complex single and three-phase switching/tagging activities for maintenance and restoration efforts.
• Plan work activities using the Permit and Tag process taught in the training course, to minimize outages and enhance safety.

The wish list:

• Bachelor Degree in a Engineering discipline required.
• Willingness to do shift work and work overtime.
• 1 -2 years of previous work experience preferred but not mandatory.
