Prime Air is seeking an experienced engineer who can dive deep technically and with a demonstrated ability to get the right things done quickly and effectively. This person must be comfortable working with a team of top-notch hardware, software and systems engineers to develop and refine system test strategy.
Export Control License: This position may require a deemed export control license for compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Placement is contingent on Amazons ability to apply for and obtain an export control license on your behalf.
Key job responsibilities
The ideal candidate will help the team in the following ways:
Develop strategies and processes for electronic & mechanical product EOL testing
Write test procedures, test specifications, and acceptance criteria for electronic & mechanical products and integrated systems
Design and build test solutions to support production needs
Work with suppliers, vendors, and internal stakeholders to design, build, and deploy new system test solutions
Resolving complex system integrated test problems
Support troubleshooting on integrated test systems
Implement the design of automated test solutions, including electrical interfaces, interface test adapters, and software
Manage configuration changes and manage configuration control throughout the defined process
Work with cross-functional teams requiring multiple skill sets (such as electrical, mechanical, firmware, software)
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Computer Science or a related technical field
- 2+ years of hardware/systems experience, designing and building automated test systems
- 2+ years of experience integrating software and hardware systems
- Experience developing software for test automation (NI tools, Python, scripting, Linux, etc)
- Demonstrated expertise in test strategy development, ability to define test requirements, and implement product EOL test solutions to support production
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
- 5+ years of engineering experience
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to define requirements and capability to deliver test solutions

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $116,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $201,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
