A client of Innova Solutions is immediately hiring a Systems Administrator.Position type: Full-time - ContractDuration: 12+ MonthsLocation: Newport News, VA (Hybrid)As a Systems Administrator, you will:Maintains smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, including coordination with network administrators.Duties may include setting up administrator and service accounts, maintaining system documentation, tuning system performance, installing system wide software and allocating mass storage space.Interact with users and evaluate vendor products.Makes recommendations to purchase hardware and software, coordinates installation and provides backup recovery.Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.Educational qualifications:6 Years with Bachelors; 4 Years with MastersEquivalency: Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience.Master's Degree and 4 years of experience.4 years of related exempt experience can be substituted for bachelor's degree.8 years of non-related exempt experience can be substituted for bachelor's degree.A relevant professional certification can be substituted for a bachelor's degree.Required:Experienced Senior Linux Administrator with expertise in VMWare.Responsible for administration, support and optimization of Red Hat Linux based systems in virtualized and non-virtualized environments.Strong trouble shooting and scripting skills.Manage and maintain VMware HPE SimpliVity hyperconverged infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and availability.Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers and environments.Implement and manage virtualization solutions using VMware vSphere and HPE SimpliVity.Design and implement backup and disaster recovery solutions.Automate system administration tasks using scripting and automation tools.Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.Provide technical support and training to internal teams and clients.Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of IT systems.Must Haves:Hands-on experience in the Virtual infrastructure space: VMware, Symplivity, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)Effective problem-solving and attention to detailsWorks well under pressure, while multi-taskingQualified candidates should APPLY NOW for immediate consideration!
