This position is responsible for:
- Providing ongoing support for all bank staff in the use of end-user hardware and software products, including but not limited to general support for equipment and software issues
- Identifying, making recommendations, and collaborating with the Vice President-Technology on procedures, techniques, and standards to implement new and/or improved ideas to increase effectiveness, service sensitivity, and productivity of the department.
- Maintaining clear channels of communication with the department manager and bank employees at all times to facilitate an efficient working environment and project deployment.
- Monitoring the network and data communications by utilizing various monitoring tools
- Providing staff access to all needed equipment and software programs, maintaining an accurate log of user rights access and equipment inventory.
- Overseeing the disaster recovery so that the documentation is kept up to date, assisting with Risk Assessments

Principal Duties and Responsibilities: 1. Ensures ongoing support for all Bank staff in the use of end-user hardware and software products, including but not limited to general support for equipment and software issues, logins, printers, etc. 2. Identifies, makes recommendations, and collaborates with the VP-T on procedures, techniques, and standards to implement new and/or improved ideas to increase effectiveness, service sensitivity, and productivity of the department. 3. Maintains clear channels of communication with the VP-T and Bank employees at all times to facilitate an efficient working environment and project deployment. 4. Generate and review Solar Winds, NPM, EO Johnson reports and AT&T firewall reports 5. Monitor the network and data communications by utilizing various monitoring tools 6. Assist Vice President - Technology with Risk Assessments on new products and processes 7. Disaster recovery (keep the documentation current and up to date) 8. Assist with Business Continuity Testing and Table top exercises 9. Assist with Bank audits (Fed, State, IT) and social engineering 10. Assist with documentation, training and upgrades for new and existing programs 11. Maintain documentation of current software and hardware inventory 12. Assist with telephone banking issues and telephone issues 13. Assist with Spectrum Communications issues 14. Assist employees with software related to bank products including internet banking, mobile banking or remote deposit scanners as needed 15. Maintains knowledge of all Bank products, services and promotions 16. Assist and follow thru with projects, as assigned 17. Assists the Vice President - Technology with the Bank's information systems (currently includes non-critical servers for processing and BPM for deposits). Ensures safeguarding of information, maintains effective internal controls and general security through computer system. Seeks input on information system needs for users. Initiates enhancements to data processing system. Consults with hardware and software vendors or other consultants to troubleshoot and to determine best solutions to computing needs within budgetary constraints. Oversees the daily network backup. 18. Maintains up-to-date job knowledge through professional reading and affiliation with appropriate industry organizations. Recommends policy changes to Vice President - Technology. 19. Monitors PC Network update services. 20. Consults with computer system vendors to solve hardware and software operating problems when they occur. 21. Prepares a variety of reports and forms according to established schedule for areas of responsibility or as needed/requested. 22. Monitors Backups. 23. Monitors Locknet Firewall activity. 24. Assists with the upgrades on software applications as necessary. 25. Maintains users on Domain Controller. 26. Contributes to efficient Bank operations by performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Associate degree in Computer Operations is preferred. A minimum of five years' experience with information systems. Individual must possess: good common sense and problem solving skills; knowledge of various equipment; ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively with repair vendors; knowledge of banking procedures; excellent interpersonal and verbal communication skills; professional demeanor and appearance; ability to interact professionally with a wide variety of people, dealing effectively with difficult customers and employees; ability to deal effectively with time pressures and stress: willingness to assume responsibility and solve problems; ability to maintain confidential and sensitive data relating to customer and employees; a strong sense of attention to detail; ability to input and retrieve data from a variety of computer systems. Must be able to: compose correspondence and reports; sit for extended periods of time; attend occasional overnight, out-of-town meetings. Must be able to handle stress, prioritize multiple projects being done at the same time.
Equipment Operated: Windows 2022 Servers, operating network, VMWARE, FortiGate firewall, Windows Operating Systems, various computer printers, application servers, 10-Key Calculator, telephone, mainframe, PC applications (Office Suite, etc), Fedline applications, fax, printers, copier, etc.
Working Conditions: Work is performed largely sitting at a desk in a pleasant office environment with minimal chance for personal injury. Long periods of sitting required (at least 3-5 hours per day). Very regular contact with employees. Frequent mental and visual concentration for computer usage, and reading/assimilating complex and technical compliance information. Work hours are normally during regular business hours and will average at least 40 hours a week. On-call rotation for Saturday morning support as well as occasional unscheduled evening and weekend work. Some exposure to noise. Ability to handle stress meeting deadlines. There is an expectation for a certain amount of community involvement.
