(Unclassified) FLSA Status: Exempt Salary: $75,548.20 Pay Range: 12 Reports to: Manager, Information Services Hours: 8:30 a.m.- 4:30 p.m Monday-Friday* *Hours/Days will vary depending upon the needs of the department. What do we want you to bring to the table? This job is for you if you truly enjoy analyzing and improving databases, as well as working with various computer hardware including Electronic Poll Books (Apple IPads), and various software programs. You'll need a sharp eye for trouble shooting and problem solving. You'll need to bring a strong attention to detail and passion for continual process improvement. What do you need to have? Completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related area and a minimum of 2 years proven experience in a related area including database analytics, end user IT technologies experience, and server environmental IT technologies experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Prior experience working with support and troubleshooting for Apple IPads including setup, maintenance and issue resolution is required. What will you be doing? On an average day you'll be supporting Active Directory, building, deploying and supporting IT server/virtual machines/pc environments/Apple IPads (EPBs) and related technologies. You'll perform security related functions, diagnose issues and administer incident related documentation. You might also assist in the providing Service Desk support by answering phone calls, answering end user questions, and issue resolution. You might be assisting with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to analyze and map data. An average day on this job includes creating new or adjusting reports utilizing Crystal Reports and/or SQL. You will utilize Microsoft SQL to write proficient optimized T-SQL queries, functions, views, stored procedures, and triggers for integration with other applications; monitor various database maintenance tasks such as back-up, security, disaster recovery and database re-indexing. You will monitor database performance and troubleshoots system issues as requested by others contacting the IS department. In this role you will learn new security measures and how to monitor for any security risks. You will learn new skills relative to database maintenance, process improvement, and computer hardware deployment in an Elections environment. You'll improve your knowledge of GIS tools.
