WREC is one of the largest electric cooperatives in the US with over 240,000 members and over 10,000 miles of distribution and sub-transmission line. Our service area is located along Florida's Nature Coast in Pasco, Hernando, and Citrus counties and is conveniently situated between Tampa, Orlando, and the gulf beaches. PURPOSE OF JOB: The Systems Administrator I will support a complex computing environment within a fast-paced, deadline driven organization. Under the guidance and supervision of management or senior staff, the Systems Administrator I will help oversee the efficient day-to-day operations of the Cooperative's computing environment. This will consist of set-up, maintenance, and repair of technologies such as VMware, Nutanix AHV, and Hyper-V servicing both Windows (2019-2025) and Linux operating systems. This also includes servicing Windows clients and mobile device management. In addition to supporting cloud-based collaboration technologies, the Systems Administrator I will engage in monitoring and being pro-active in-service ownership of tasks such as backups and restorations and ensures they are performed to minimize downtime of critical business services. Inclusion in 24x7 on-call support will be required as part of an active rotation. **EXEMPT POSITION-PAY DEPENDS ON EXPERIENCE**Requirements
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year university or 3 years job-related experience.
- Prior experience in a medium to large environment (greater than 5 locations and 500+ employees).
- Minimum 3 years of relevant Automation and Operating System experience for Windows Workstations, Servers, and Linux
- Knowledge (Level 100) of Microsoft operating and application systems including but not limited to: Active Directory (GPO, DNS, DHCP, etc.), LDAP, ADFS/SAML, PKI Administration
- Knowledge of virtualization and SAN technologies/protocols (VMware, AHV, iSCSI, FC).
- Knowledge of database technologies, SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL and PostgresSQL.
- Strong problem-solving skills and reasoning skills required.
- Good communications, writing and editing skills needed to transfer information to individuals involved in the operational support process.
- Preferred - one or more certifications including Microsoft, Redhat, Nutanix, or Vmware
