Summary The Junior Level Systems Administrator - II role is to support the team in maintaining the stable operation of Backend Systems including Active Directory, physical and virtual server infrastructure. The role also supports the IT Service Desk in advanced troubleshooting of client issues where necessary. Who we are At SMS group, our people are our greatest asset.   • Installation and maintenance of IT systems and server hardware
  • Maintenance of virtualized systems and Hypervisors
  • Participation in operational continuity exercises
  • Creation and Maintenance of SCCM packages
  • Analyze and diagnose system faults
  • Provide Level 2 support to the IT Service Desk
  • Support the Senior Systems Administrator with data backup, restore, & archiving
  • Support the Senior Systems Administrator with managing access to network & file resources
  • Create and maintain system and process documentation
  • Willingness to travel on business (domestic and international)
  • Perform all other job-related duties as assigned
What you'll need
  • 2+ years of experience as a System Administrator
  • Experience with Active Directory and related services/roles.
  • Experience with Hyper-V and/or VMware
  • Experience with PowerShell
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • A keen attention to detail.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
  • Highly self-motivated and directed.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation.
  • Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
