JOB SUMMARY: Under general direction, develops and maintains Corporate wide, mission critical, complex system hardware and software according to design and operational specifications in support of Corporate computing requirements. This includes but is not limited to all Windows or Linux operating systems. Additionally, responsible for providing systems applications support for mission critical high-level corporate applications like Microsoft 365 and various CAD application platforms. Provides technical systems support to the network, remote communications, telecommunications administrators. - Performs required systems operational procedures and diagnostics to ensure that corporate wide, mission critical applications and equipment perform to specification with a high level of scheduled availability.
- Provides direct technical system support and assistance to other technical staff.
- Maintains hardware operating system and maintains software to current release levels as issued by manufacturer.
OTHER FUNCTIONS:
- Performs other duties when required that are outside of normal job duties.
SUPERVISION GIVEN/RECEIVED:Is supervised by the Director of CIS and has no supervisory responsibilities. QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor of Science degree or equivalent experience.
- Minimum experience requirements should encompass the following: four to six years Windows/Linux systems administration. Two to four years network systems administration, system management involving engineering and manufacturing networked systems preferred.
- Experience with IP Addressing/DHCP, SANs, Hyper-V clusters, and Multi-site environments.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business and professional journals, and technical procedures.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, and customers.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Must have the temperament to be available to address system complications
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Ability to read, write, and speak Spanish.
