Job Description:
Reporting to the AVP, IT Manager the Systems Administrator is responsible for implementing and maintaining all technology throughout the bank as well as supporting the Bank's information technology function, specific to its infrastructure, physical and virtual servers, LAN/WAN networking configuration, storage networks, wireless and wired networks, telephony, and unified communication platforms. This position can be located in either West Warwick, RI or Putnam CT. Travel to both locations will be required.Key Responsibilities:
  • Assists the AVP, IT Manager with the installation, upgrade, operation, and maintenance of all the Bank's information technology infrastructure equipment including servers, storage, power, backups, and network devices.
  • Provides assistance with the network administration of network, web, and/or communication systems, including Local Area Network (LAN).
  • Responsible for ensuring timely and effective responses to all tickets within the Help Desk ticketing system, serving as a back-up to the Help Desk when needed.
  • Function as first and second level interface with vendor supported systems, initiating vendor requests, and following through on issue to ensure resolution.
  • Manages and maintains the patch management program, including running and interpreting scan reports, testing and evaluating patches, and perform or delegating remediation with the goal of having as few missing patches as possible.
  • Assists managing Office 365 environment, including Exchange Online.
  • Develops new procedures based on need, and periodically evaluates existing documents for accuracy, relevance, and additional considerations.
  • Ability to train and assist other employees with computer related issues.
  • Participate in any request for information by the Bank's internal and independent auditors.
  • Support equipment when needed for presentations, trainings, and meetings.
  • Maintain a high degree of system availability to ensure a superior customer experience.
  • Maintain system security that ensures the safety of our customers' data and regulatory compliance.
  • Participate in the business continuity process of the Bank. In conjunction with other IT team members, help implement and test a variety of BCP and DR related contingencies with the expectation that our ability to service our customers remains as available as possible through a variety of potential incidents.
  • Maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations, bank policies and procedures related to the position, including but no limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) and Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) requirements.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
  • 5+ years prior work experience in systems support, preferably in financial services or related field.
  • Technical training in the computer networking and systems fields strongly preferred; industry certification in CompTIA, Microsoft, Cisco, or VMware, are a plus.
  • Experience configuring Cisco switches.
  • Virtual environment experience and working knowledge of VMware.
  • Experience with Windows Network including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, WSUS and Group policy.
  • Experience with VoIP phone systems
  • Experience with Nutanix Hyperconverged solutions a plus
  • Experience with Zerto replication software a plus
  • Experience with Office 365 management a plus
  • Ability to provide a high level of customer service.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Strong time management skills.
  • Collaborative.
