Position Overview:The Systems Administrator is responsible for the overall health and functionality of all Company servers, network infrastructure, and any associated software/hardware. Specific responsibilities include administration, troubleshooting, configuration, and maintenance on these systems. This position also integrates and maintains network and systems policies and procedures.Primary Responsibilities:
- Ensure that all servers, printers, and workstations are available to users and that infrastructure changes or outages have minimal impact to users.
- Ensure that Local Area Network (LAN), Wide Area Network (WAN), and Internet resources are available to users and that infrastructure changes or outages have minimal impact to users.
- Provide guidance and issue resolution on server application software, hardware, and multiple computer architectures (Operating Systems, Microsoft Active Directory (on-prem and Azure), CrowdStrike Anti-Virus, VMWare, Microsoft Office 365, SQL server, TCP/IP, DNS, network switches, routers, intrusion detection, SMTP, and network protocols).
- Ensure all security endpoints are on the latest approved firmware or software version.
- Interpret and communicate issues and resolutions to management and system users.
- Keep informed of IT technology changes and updates and recommend changes where needed.
- Provide customer service for Stores, Support Center and DC server issues and inquiries.
- Complete any additional responsibilities and/or duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems or related field and at least 5 years' experience with installation, operation, and maintenance of servers, LAN, WAN, and client/server products.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, to include weekends, evenings, and holidays on an occasional basis
- Ability to exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to preserve confidentiality of information.
- Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks and activities and work within strict timeframes and deadlines.
- Accuracy and attention to detail.
- Outstanding interpersonal and listening skills; ability to articulate complex technical topics for non-technical audiences.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to push and pull up to 100 pounds.
- Ability to remain in a normal seated position regularly.
- Ability to see, hear, and speak regularly.
