OverviewBigBear.ai is seeking a Systems Administrator to join our GALE (Generic Area Limitation Environment) Support team. The candidate will work closely with the development team and our customers in the DoD and IC. This position will be on-site in Washington, DC with occasional travel for on-site customer training and requires an active TS/SCI. What you will do
- Maintain a CI/CD pipeline with jenkins
- Deploy containers in Kubernetes/Openshift environments
- Deploy software on Windows
- Deploy software on Linux
- Support external users and admins through our help desk
- Test new builds of GALE and write up any problems
- Perform basic GALE system administration
- Learn new things. Flexibility in this role is key
- Keep systems patched and up to date
What you need to have
- Bachelor's degree and at least 8 years of experience; master's degree and 4 to 6 years of experience; (in lieu of Bachelor's degree, 6 additional years of relevant experience)
- Clearance: Must possess and maintain an active TS/SCI
- Competent Windows and Linux skills, GUI and command line
- Some scripting experience, Bash/Python/bat/etc
- Ability and drive to document procedures for fixing problems
- Good communication skills, we are constantly talking with our customers, phone/chat/email

- CompTIA Security+ Certification
- Database Experience, PostgreSQL or Elasticsearch
- Understand SELinux policy creation
- Docker and Podman experience
- Basic Python
- Atlassian – Jira/Confluence
- Ansible Experience
