Description

We are looking for a security-minded Systems Administrator to undertake system design, integration, testing, and maintenance of cyber systems. Responsibilities include installing application software and system patches, ensuring anti-virus and vulnerability scanner updates, and optimizing performance and reliability in adherence to NIST SP 800-53 standards. This role involves collaborating with the Information Assurance organization to support various engineering disciplines.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, integrate, deploy, and maintain bare metal and virtual clients, servers, and networked systems.
  • Develop solutions to perform complex tasks affecting multiple IT disciplines.
  • Utilize hardening, scanning, and log collection tools such as Ansible, Nessus, and SCAP, and Splunk.
  • Analyze systems for performance optimization, catastrophe mitigation, and security compliance.
  • Collaborate with software developers to ensure systems meet functional requirements.
  • Support IT security activities, including security compliance reviews and auditing requirements.
  • Perform software configuration management using software development repositories.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience administering Windows, Linux, Networking/Switch, and Virtualized Machines.
  • Security+ 8570 certification or willingness to obtain it within 6 months of employment.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field with at least 8 years of relevant work experience, or a master's degree with 6-10 years of experience; additional relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Active DoD SECRET clearance.
  • Experience implementing NIST SP 800-53 controls on Linux and Windows.
  • Experience with core infrastructure services administration such as AD, DNS, DHCP, and File Server administration.
  • Skilled in deploying Operating System images using various methods.
  • Ability to create simple Linux and PowerShell scripts for task automation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Research skills to resolve complex technical problems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in building and deploying DevSecOps systems.
  • Experience in deploying Multifactorial Authentication Systems.
