As a Systems Administrator lll, you will manage and continuously improve all on-premises and cloud hardware/software components. Your role will include automating tasks, reducing administrative overhead and workplace operations consisting of configuration variations, performance issues on endpoint devices, and security vulnerabilities. You'll work closely with other departments and external partners to ensure alignment with company policy and applicable legislation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Maintain inventory and support documentation of all network and system components and applications.
- Assist in maintaining software licensing and environment compliance under senior guidance.
- Provide functional backup responsibilities to non-cloud platform IT Operations systems as needed.
- Support Help Desk personnel with escalated issues as needed.
- Aid in promoting adoption of progressive DevOps practices.
- Install, configure and test platform and software systems.
- Conduct diagnostic procedures on platform and software when necessary to identify and correct errors or system failures.
- Act as SME on Azure suite of offerings. This includes; Azure AD, Azure SSO, Azure networking, etc.
- Assist with configuration changes improving the overall security stance of the organization.
- Aid senior personnel in the configuration and maintenance of system, network, and user security authentication and authorization policies.
- Install, configure, and test application and operating system patches when appropriate.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree with 4-6 years' experience in information services preferred or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience with Azure services, networking, and security concepts.
- Familiarity in using Azure DevOps tools and implementing CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with standard IT operations frameworks (e.g., ITIL).
- Experience with configuration management, identity and access management, active directory, desktop virtualization, collaboration platforms and other cloud-based services
- Ability to write technical documentation.
- Ability to learn technologies and explain technical issues to a variety of audiences and levels.
