Job Description:
The Systems analyst/Administrator's role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and functionality of ESSA Bank and Trust's server, storage, and virtualization systems.Work involves overseeing the day-to-day operations of the enterprise systems, providing applications support and patch management. Manages multiple financial applications and when necessary, works directly with their support teams to resolve issues that might arise. Coordinates the IT needs of the company in accordance with business processes, organizational policies, and company goals. Responsible for delivering innovative technology solutions by partnering with Management and by building and/or recommending new solutions as appropriate.This role will also involve working closely with an individual(s) responsible for network centric equipment and the successful candidate will be expected to learn about this equipment, so this position can assist and handle basic issues that arise with network centric equipment.*EXAMPLES OF DUTIES: **Hardware:*· Evaluate, install, configure, and test server systems.· Provide proactive and reactive server support.· Performs and maintains backups for servers and images.· Creates and implements detailed inventory system to include monitoring of hardware, software and applicable licenses.· Set up proactive software update and hardware maintenance schedules.· Set up and maintain real-time monitoring on servers and monitor local remote connectivity to servers.*Applications:*· Ensures proper functioning of the company's business applications and performs software upgrades as necessary.· Achieves IT operational objectives by maintaining current systems as well as evaluating, recommending, testing and implementing new technologies (hardware and software) as appropriate.· Resolves IT operational and user issues by understanding key underlying issues and determining system improvements, then implements required changes.· Determines IT operations service level requirements by analyzing needs of users and departments.· Acts as liaison for technology vendors and outside software and hardware support.· Ensures consistent delivery on schedule, on budget, on scope, on benefit and within quality goals.· Leads technology integration and simplification initiatives on an ongoing basis.· Performs other duties as assigned.· Ensures the integrity and availability of company databases.· Ensures clean database backups and solid recovery process.· Works with end users on troubleshooting application and reporting issues.*General:*· Develops training materials, manuals, technical bulletins, online help documents and other user and documentation aids.· Occasionally conducts formal and informal training for users.· Serves as escalation point of contact in an on-call rotation for after hours and weekend support.· Cooperates with, participates in, and supports the adherence to all internal policies, procedures, and practices in support of risk management and overall safety and soundness._The Position Purpose and Description of Duties sections summarized above provide a representative listing only and should not be regarded as a complete statement of tasks performed by this position.
