Description South Carolina Federal Credit Union is currently seeking a Systems Analyst I to join our team of outstanding IT professionals in North Charleston, SC. Duties include but are not limited to:
  • Provide technical and non-technical assistance, to include, but not limited to, monitoring and fulfilling IT help desk requests, responding to inquiries, researching and identifying issues as well as determining, recommending and implementing solutions.
  • Adhere to the change management guidelines and processes.
  • Responsible for technical communications to team members and credit union employees related to core systems, applications, hardware, and related third party products.
  • Respond to and resolve alerts/alarms involving core systems, applications, hardware, and related third party products. This requires on-call duties, as schedule by manager, to address any issues that occur outside of traditional work hours.
  • Develop and configure products, displays, workflows, user profiles and security permissions within various systems and applications.
  • Analyze and enhance existing core systems, applications, hardware, and related third party product functionality to improve business processes and the end user experience.
  • Research and evaluate new feature functionality available for core systems, applications, hardware, and related third party products to determine implementation value.
  • Design and develop test scripts and validation protocols.
  • Maintain core systems, applications, hardware, and related third party product releases and patches, participating in testing to ensure a successful rollout Participate in and implement projects as assigned by IT management. Test processes to compare to specifications and documentation for projects; interpret test results and make necessary process revisions or enhancements.
  • Establish standards and procedures for program testing, operations and documentation to include coordinating and direct end user testing of application enhancements or system upgrades.
  • Responsible for assisting with the implementation of the disaster recovery plan, disaster recovery testing and reporting.
  • Responsible for third party vendor relationship management; work with vendors to resolve issues, meet requirements, and maintain information. Provide technical communications between the credit union and the vendors.
  • Create and maintain appropriate System Support documentation, including applications, systems, and corresponding processes.
  • Create and maintain member notifications, forms, and end user reports.
  • For contingency purposes, all Information Technology employees must support the installation of a IPSEC hardware tunnel into their homes or be able to connect reliably utilizing the VPN software. Where internet is not commercially available, the employee is required to support the installation of a hardware based cellular MPLS connection into their home. Employees must use either the soft phone or a polycom phone tied to their 4-digit extension.
Minimum qualifications include:
  • Possess a minimum of two years of similar or related experience.
  • Related Financial Industry experience is preferred.
  • Possess working knowledge/exposure of mainframe functions.
  • Possess knowledge of processing systems and the related hardware and software products.
  • Possess knowledge of relational database structure and maintenance
  • Possess knowledge of SQL, ability to write queries and create jobs to execute
  • Possess knowledge of Linux, HP UX, and Windows Operating Systems
  • Possess in-depth judgment and decision-making capabilities in order to solve major, complex problems.
  • Possess well-developed communication skills where discretion, accuracy, and clarity are essential.
  • Possess intermediate mathematical skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to learn independently from technical documentation.
  • Possess a bachelor's degree in Computer Science or similar or related field or equivalent work experience.
