Job Description:

Are you an experienced ETL Developer with a passion for data integration and automation? We're looking for a Sr. Systems Analyst, Applications/Software Development - ETL Developer to join our team in a hybrid role, with a preference for candidates residing in the Austin, TX area.

Position Details:

  • Location: Hybrid (must reside in Austin, TX area and report onsite 3 days a week)
  • Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, excluding State holidays
  • Duration: 01/20/2025 to 08/31/2025

Role Overview: As a Sr. Systems Analyst - ETL Developer, you will understand business objectives and problems, identify alternative solutions, and perform cost/benefit analysis of these alternatives. You will analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automate processing or improve existing computer systems. This includes conferring with personnel to analyze current operational procedures, identifying problems, and learning specific input and output requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and configure the infrastructure for the data integration hub.
  • Design, develop, and implement the data integration hub using an agile methodology for all standard SDLC phases.
  • Validate performance metric requirements and create Epics/User Stories/Tasks.
  • Automate data acquisition from various data sources and develop complex SQL scripts.
  • Perform integration, load, and stress testing, and deploy/publish internally and externally.
  • Provide operations support and enhance the data integration hub.

Agile Development Team Responsibilities:

  • Acquire data from various sources for multiple uses.
  • Develop complex SQL scripts to transform source data into a dimensional model and create views and materialized views in Oracle.
  • Automate data integration with Informatica IICS or Power Center.
  • Collaborate with the Data Engineering Team on optimal data design.
  • Verify and validate SQL scripts, Informatica automation, and database views.
  • Develop automated verification and validation methods.
  • Participate in all sprint ceremonies.
  • Work closely with Architects and the Data Engineering Team on implementation designs and data acquisition strategies.
  • Enhance and maintain the Java website that provides Tableau dashboards to users with different roles.
  • Develop mockups and work with customers for validation.
  • Address technical problems with team members.
  • Assist with the implementation and configuration of developmental tools.
  • Produce and maintain technical specifications, diagrams, and other documentation.
  • Participate in requirements and design sessions.
  • Interpret new and changing business requirements to determine impact and propose enhancements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Candidate Skills and Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • 8+ years of experience developing mappings and workflows to automate ETL processes using Informatica IICS, IDMC, or Power Center.
  • Experience acquiring and integrating data from multiple data sources/technologies using Informatica for use by a Tableau data visualization object. Data source technologies should include Snowflake, Oracle, SQL Server, Excel, Access, and Adobe PDF.
  • Experience designing and developing complex SQL scripts that are fast and efficient.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience as a system analyst for data analytics, performance management systems, or data warehousing projects.
  • Technical writing and diagramming skills, including proficiency with modeling and mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Erwin), and the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and MS Project.
  • Experience in planning and delivering software platforms used across multiple products and organizational units.
  • Experience designing and developing scripts using Python.
  • Experience on an agile sprint team.
  • Experience with JIRA software.

Preferred:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proven ability to write well-designed, testable, efficient code using best software development practices.
  • Understanding of security principles and how they apply to healthcare data.
  • Experience with state-of-the-art software components for performance metrics data visualization or business intelligence environments.
  • Ability to self-manage multiple responsibilities, prioritize conflicting assignments, and switch quickly between assignments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Business, or equivalent experience.
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry.
  • Prior experience with an HHS agency.
  • Prior experience working with PII or PHI data.
  • Expertise and hands-on experience with web applications and programming languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, and APIs.
  • Prior experience creating website/user interfaces using standard HTML/CSS practices.
  • Functional knowledge or hands-on design experience with web services (REST, SOAP, etc.).
  • Experience developing dashboards and reports using Tableau, including connecting to external data sources.
