A Systems Analyst I, II, or Senior in the IT Operations Department is open for placement. This one position could be filled at a Systems Analyst I, II, or Senior Systems Analyst level based on the applicant's education and experience, see the Qualifications section for additional requirements.

SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the IT Operations Supervisor, the Systems Analyst I, II or Senior provides software support for various business functions. The incumbent acts as the lead contact and resource for software projects for departments or corporate-wide projects. The incumbent scopes, costs, plans, implements, tests and integrates computer software to accomplish defined business activities. In addition, the incumbent provides ongoing support of commercial software systems developed by the Information Services staff or from outside sources. The incumbent works closely with internal customers to obtain desired solutions. The incumbent also complies with all applicable North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC) critical infrastructure protection (CIP) Cyber Security Standards.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: other duties may be assigned. Works closely with business systems internal customers to identify needs, software issues, reliability issues, and assumed outcomes for existing computer software systems and projects. Maintains knowledge of PeopleSoft software tools, processes and administration to support customer needs. Provides technical support of human resource applications, such as payroll, benefits and recruitment. Provides technical support of commercial business systems including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), general ledger (GL), budgets, projects, purchasing and inventory applications. Provides technical support of maintenance management, GIS mapping, various APEX applications and badge security systems. Develops and implements approved requests for customizations. Evaluate and test patches. Re-applies customizations after patches applied. Develops custom software using Oracle development tools. Ensures compliance with applicable NERC CIP Cyber Security Standards.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors required.

Education and Experience:

Systems Analyst I - ($70,432 - $106,980) - A Bachelor's degree in a Computer Science, Information Services, or a related field. Directly related experience working with software applications in a development or system/business analyst capacity preferred. Directly related experience may be substituted for education at the rate of two (2) years of experience for one (1) year of education.

Systems Analyst II - ($87,097 - $135,089) - A Bachelor's degree in a computer or information systems related field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience working with PeopleSoft enterprise business software (or a similar ERP system) in a development or system/business analyst capacity preferably in a utility setting, is required. Knowledge of financial business processes and multiple programming languages is also required. Oracle APEX experience is preferred. Directly related experience may be substituted for education at the rate of two (2) years of experience for one (1) year of education.

Senior Systems Analyst - ($96,064 - $150,571) - A Bachelor's degree in a computer or information systems related field and seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience working with PeopleSoft enterprise business software (or a similar ERP system) in a development or system/business analyst capacity preferably in a utility setting, is required. Knowledge of financial business processes and multiple programming language is also required. Oracle APEX experience is preferred. Directly related experience may be substituted for education at the rate of two (2) years of experience for one (1) year of education.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical documents and procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of employees, managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Math Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry, trigonometry, calculus and differential equations. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

Computer Skills: Ability to use applicable computer programming languages related to enterprise business systems. Proficient at operating personal computers using Microsoft Office Suite.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: This job requires a current driver's license.

WORK SCHEDULE REQUIREMENTS: Normally works a daytime weekly schedule but may be required to work extended hours and travel on short notice as needed.
