Job DetailsJob Location1100 Rockhurst Road - Kansas City, MODescriptionRockhurst University's Department of Computer Services is seeking applications for a part-time Systems Analyst to support the Applications Development Manager and university systems. The Systems Analyst role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving the current software for effective and efficient end user results. As a Systems Analyst you will:
- Improve how things work by working with the Banner system and Argos reporting software and provide interfaces between external software systems and Banner.
- Provide support by designing, programing, maintaining, and debugging existing programs and data structures to meet end user needs.
- Analyze user business processes and design application/solutions to help streamline the operations.
- Assure file conversion and cross-operating platform file manipulation as appropriate.
- Identify opportunities to optimize and automate system processes to enhance Banner's efficiency, especially through SQL, scripting, and other data tools.
- Maintain current knowledge of Banner related developments, issues, and advancements in data processing equipment, software, and programming.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation, including system configurations, troubleshooting steps, and user guides, to ensure consistency and knowledge retention.
The successful applicant will have:
- A relevant Bachelor's degree or High School diploma and equivalent work experience.
- Strong organizational, analytical, planning, interpersonal, written, and oral communications skills.
- The ability to interact and collaborate professionally with a diverse group of individuals.
- Effective project management skills and is detailed and deadline oriented.
- Working knowledge of Ellucian Banner and Argos.
Pay rate is commensurate with experience and skill level.
