Founded in 2008, Pivotal Point supports the Federal Government and Businesses with professional services in Program/Project Management; Critical Infrastructure Maintenance and Operations Support Services; Inside Plant Services; Network Engineering; Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) Engineering; VoIP Maintenance and Operations Services; IT and Telecommunications Asset and Inventory Management; and Business Process Analysis and Consulting Services. Position Overview: The System Architect will provide expert knowledge of application design and usability principles, issues, and techniques. This role is responsible for the overall system design, performing analysis of business models, logical specifications, and user requirements to design client solutions. The System Architect will facilitate and guide requirements gathering, analysis, and development plans, working closely with development teams to ensure the successful development of applications. This individual will ensure that technical requirements and designs are appropriately documented and provide the overall vision of the project to deliver the final solution. Key Responsibilities:

  • System Design: Responsible for the overall system design, ensuring that it meets business and technical requirements.
  • Business Analysis: Perform analysis of business models, logical specifications, and user requirements to design effective client solutions.
  • Requirements Gathering: Facilitate and guide requirements gathering, analysis, and development plans to ensure comprehensive understanding and documentation of project needs.
  • Development Collaboration: Work closely with development teams to ensure the successful development and implementation of the application.
  • Documentation: Ensure that all technical requirements and designs are appropriately documented, maintaining clear and comprehensive records.
  • Project Vision: Provide the overall vision of the project, ensuring alignment with business objectives and delivering the final solution.
  • Technical Expertise: Utilize expertise in COBOL, Java, Spring, HTML, XML, Unix, Oracle, SQL, SDLC, Fortify, and Configuration Management (CM) to guide the design and development process.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure that all system designs and implementations meet the highest standards of quality and usability.
Requirements Required Qualifications:
  • IAT Level: 2
  • Information Assurance (IA) Certification: Sec+ (Security+) or CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner)
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in COBOL, Java, Spring, HTML, XML, Unix, Oracle, SQL, SDLC, Fortify, and Configuration Management (CM).
  • Design and Usability Principles: Expert knowledge of application design and usability principles, issues, and techniques.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in system architecture or a related role.
  • Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing complex systems.
