- Oversee, manage and own the Solutions Architecture for DOT systems.• Own and coordinate triaging for Sev 1 and 2 incidents impacting DOT.
- Own and coordinate triaging for on-call support incidents during Statewide Transportation Information and Coordination
- Center (STICC) Activation.
- Facilitate communication and clear understanding of technical and business concepts and strategies among
- stakeholders (DOT, ITS, External Vendors).
- Collaborate and partner closely with leaders from ITS for DOT and DOT Data and Information Technology Management.
- Guide and drive key technology strategies including ITS processes, value streams, and supporting technologies.
- Guide and drive adoption of modern technologies that are critical to the core mission of the DOT Agency.
- Guide and drive technical collaboration with DOT, ITS, and external vendor teams in support of enterprise strategies.
- Guide and drive technical alignment with NYS ITS strategy and mission.
- Guide and drive technical compliance with NYS ITS standards, policies and procedures.
- Review and approve the use of technology in DOT solution proposals.Review and approve the technology requirements
- for technology contracts and procurements • Review and
- approve the use of technology in new DOT procurements.
- Approve exceptions to the use of technology in DOT solutions.
- Review and approve IT procurements issued by DOT with ITS impact and acts as the contact for ITS review questions.
- Collaborate on ITS and DOT procurement selections by participating in RFP, RFQ, and RFI review and evaluations.
- Use a ticketing system to track and manage incidents, service requests, problems, changes, and release/deployment.
Mandatory Qualifications 1 84 months experience working with agencies/business areas to understand business requirements to translate to technical and security infrastructure requirements resulting in architecture design documentation covering data flows; interfaces with other systems; authentication; etc. 2 84 months experience managing a team of Solution Architects and L3 Operational/Technical support resources to facilitate communication and clear understanding of technical and business concepts. 3 84 months experience leading and driving adoption of modern technologies that are critical to the core mission of the Business. This includes but is not limited to: DevSecOps, CyberSecurity, Cloud computing, AI technolgies, BI/Data Analytics. 4 84 months experience partnering, collaborating and facilitating communication of technical and business concepts and strategies among stakeholders (Business, IT, External Vendors). 5 60 months experience reviewing new products, ensuring alignment with business requirements and compliance with IT policies.
