Job Title: Systems/Business Intelligence Analyst Salary: $59,342 - $71,240 (9B) Department: Information Services Reports to: Deputy CIO Location: The Justice Center, 9th floor 1200 Ontario Street Cleveland, Ohio 44113 Hours: 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM Monday - Friday (variable shift/hours may apply) REQUIREMENTS: Associate's degree in computer science and two (2) years of business process analysis or systems implementation experience including workflow management and client support; or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Must have experience working in a Windows 11 environment. FUNCTION: This is an entry-level classification that is responsible for performing business/workflow analysis, providing insights into departmental processes and transactions, and assisting with new system and new process implementations. Employees in this class work under close supervision and within a framework of well-defined procedures. Employees perform activities in a timely manner and according to policies, procedures, and related regulations. This classification requires strong communication skills, attention to detail and working knowledge of Office 365 software components, PC based computer equipment, peripherals, and operating systems. RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Coordinates and supports business process analysis and workflow development; coordinates with subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify key process elements and understand systems structure and function; prepares processes documentation and creates functional prototypes.
  • Assists with all systems and process implementations; interviews clients and incorporates input into final approach.
  • Develops and supports data presentations and reports using the available data sources and supports ad hoc data requests.
  • Conducts thorough testing of new functionality and configurations to ensure that the final work product produces expected results and is consistent with defined requirements.
  • Assists with the development and presentation of end user training on implementations and process changes; Assists with larger scheduled training sessions and conducts one-on-one user training.
  • Seeks out personal training and development opportunities and incorporates them into daily job activities.
  • Visits and supports all CCPO offsite locations including Children and Family Services, Juvenile Justice Center, Court Rooms, etc.
  • Performs support and training for end user software; assists users in all Office 365 applications, case management software systems and other office technologies.
  • Attends and participates in group meetings; and
  • Performs all other duties assigned, delegated, or required by management as well as those prescribed by law.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:
  • Requires the ability to perform mid-level data analysis including the ability to audit, deduce, assess, conclude, and appraise. Requires the capability to define consequences and develop alternatives based on the analysis.
  • Detailed working knowledge of the core Microsoft Office 365 applications including Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams; and familiarity with the SharePoint 365 environment.
  • Ability to follow instructions, follow through and effectively communicate results.
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a variety of individuals within and outside the Department.
  • Ability to self-teach and learn new software programs and systems' technologies.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide, calculate decimals and percentages, and perform routine statistics.
  • Ability to prepare presentations, reports, helpdesk ticket responses, emails, and other job-related documents using prescribed format and conforming to all rules of punctuation, grammar, diction and style.
  • Ability to comprehend a variety of informational documents including emails, forms, reports, memos, and correspondence.
  • Ability to comprehend a variety of reference books and manuals including computer software manual and policies and procedure manuals.
