Here are just a few examples:As a systems engineer, you could be responsible for:Generating and flowing down customer requirements to hardware and software designers.Developing innovative system architectures.Implementing advanced algorithms involving sophisticated signal processing and data processing techniques.Integrating and testing finished hardware and software products.Performance standards that an incumbent must have to be successful in this position include:Leadership and teamwork capabilities.Interpersonal communication skills.Ability to effectively articulate technical challenges and solutions.Exceptional written and oral communication skills.Prospect Qualifications: A prospect, regardless of age and hiring source must meet all of the below criteria:Enrolled in or having received a graduate degree from an accredited college/university majoring in systems engineering, physics or related degree.Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Program Special access within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs.Preferred Qualifications:Minimum overall GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.Prior internship or research experience in related field.Understanding of systems engineering principles and processes.Proficiency in Microsoft office suite.Extracurricular activities (campus organizations, clubs, student organizations, community service).Northrop Grumman is committed to hiring and retaining a diverse workforce.
