A week in the life of a Systems Engineer III:
- Develop software in LabVIEW programming environment.
- Design, develop, document, test and debug application software and systems for onboard ship and submarine research.
- Collaborate with equipment designers and hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of National Instruments data acquisition modules and LabVIEW software.
- Analyze user needs and software requirements to determine feasibility of design within time and cost constraints.
- Conduct Independent Verification and Validation of existing LabVIEW software.
- Conduct testing with actual system hardware and document test results.
- Some travel (< 5%) required to customer test sites for software system installation, checkout, operation, and troubleshooting
Job Requirements
- Ability to obtain a Secret clearance.
- B.S. degree in Engineering, Science, Applied Math, or closely related field.
- National Instruments CLA or CLD Certification
- This position is 100% on-site.
At least 7 years of experience in:
- Developing LabVIEW software.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is $105,000 - $125,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
