Job Description Overview

We are seeking a highly-skilled, experienced Senior Systems Engineer specializing in Microsoft Endpoint and Modern Work technologies. The ideal candidate will be a subject-matter expert in Microsoft Intune, Microsoft Autopilot, Microsoft Defender, and Microsoft Graph, with strong proficiency in automation languages such as PowerShell and Python. This role requires an individual who can drive innovation, extend platform capabilities, and effectively manage complex client environments in a fast-paced managed service provider (MSP) setting.

Responsibilities
  • Design, implement, and manage comprehensive endpoint management solutions using Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Defender, and related technologies.
  • Lead the deployment and administration of Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune) in multi-tenant environments, ensuring best practices and compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop and maintain automation scripts and tools using PowerShell, Python, and other languages to streamline operations and improve service efficiency.
  • Extend and customize the Intune platform to meet specific client requirements, leveraging APIs and Microsoft Graph for advanced configurations.
  • Understanding of advanced reporting techniques such as utilizing Azure Data Explorer dashboards, Integrating Azure Data Factory and the Microsoft Intune Export API, or other methods to provide reporting portals.
  • Provide expert-level troubleshooting and support for complex issues related to Microsoft endpoint and security solutions, AutoPatch, Bitlocker, and security policies based on Microsoft and CIS standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions that align with client business objectives.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development within the team.
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Microsoft endpoint management and automation.
Qualifications
  • Proven expertise in Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Defender, and Microsoft Graph.
  • Strong proficiency in PowerShell and Python for automation and scripting.
  • Experience in extending the Intune platform through custom configurations and API integrations.
  • Prior experience in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment is highly preferred.
  • Experience managing and administering Intune in multi-tenant environments.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Microsoft certifications (e.g., Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals) are a plus.
  • Familiarity with tools like PatchMyPC, Scappman, Nerdio, MS Lighthouse, Augmentt, a significant plus.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and results-driven mindset.
