Responsibilities: The Systems Engineer will support Barrow Wise's Department of Defense project and perform the following tasks:
- Build a comprehensive system, data, and architecture model, which includes understanding the technical relationships, dependencies, and requirements of infrastructure, software components, data, integrations, tools, and methodologies
- Conduct a needs analysis and provide solution engineering
- Analyze weapons systems and develop recommendations
- Gather, analyze, and document requirements
- Create a new comprehensive architecture design and perform design reviews
- Create, perform, and document tests using various use cases
- Develop the system and provide technical expertise on the implementation of information security standards and enterprise applications architecture by guiding the integration of application architecture standards into information technology processes
- Provide system integration services and conduct operations and maintenance, periodic reviews, cybersecurity performance, identifying and resolving gaps
- Document the system guide and display expertise of model-based systems engineering and digital transformation, including emerging technologies such as 5G, Data Mesh, AI, Blockchain, Augmented Reality, Machine Learning, and IoT, and helping customers define and implement them into their enterprise
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that the system exceeds their needs
- Work onsite at Dahlgren, Virginia
An Ideal Candidate has:
- US Citizenship and a Secret Clearance
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in a technical field (e.g., Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology) and at least one technical certification
- At least ten years of systems engineering experience supporting the federal government or Fortune 100 firms.
