No h1BCVS - Solutions C2C 45-50/hr Systems Engineer (VMWare/ESX) The Virtual Infrastructure System Administrator and Engineering role is to provide a single point of contact working in a Team Environment for Virtual, Physical and ESX infrastructure, software and tools to support Operations and Engineering functions including internal and customer facing project deliverables. Expertise with Virtual Infrastructure, OS, VSAN, Vmware, VRA, VROPS, Vcenter and the ability to diagnose and remediate issues affecting support and delivery in a dynamic environment are key components of the position. The ability to support and provision servers, work effectively with the OS, Tools and apply system patches and security standards are standard skills. Additional knowledge of clustering and Zerto replication including hyper-converged SDDC, HP and Dell hardware is a plus. Job Responsibilities: •Install, configure and manage VMware virtualization environment components (vSphere, vRA, vROPS, ESX, NSX) •Provide Operation and Sustainment support for the virtualization environment •Ensure virtualization systems are compliant within required security standards •Develop and maintain O&S Standard Operating Procedures for VMware virtualization environment •Diagnoses and troubleshoots problems with the virtualization environment including Microsoft and Linux O/S •Within established procedures, responds to end user requests for technical support and assistance •Support off hour maintenance activities •Support the Certification and Accreditation process for virtualization hosts for customer •Gain familiarity with current data center infrastructure •Maintain current industry knowledge of development concept, practices and procedures •Develop an in-depth understanding of the Customer baseline capabilities, design and objectives Job Qualifications: •Advanced knowledge of systems engineering principles, methods, and techniques. •Knowledge of the associated hardware, software, and equipment •VMware ESX 5.0/5.5/6.0 •Windows Server 2008R2/2012R2 •Unix/Linux familiarity •Windows 7/8/10 •TCP/IP, DNS, Local Area Networking, AD, GPO Desired Skills: •Cloud experience (AWS, Azure) •vROPS •NSX •Experience creating and implementing workflows and blueprints for use with a VMware vRA solution (vRA, Orchestrator) •Remedy Experience a plus •Technical written & verbal communication skills (technical writing) •Experience supporting Intelligence and/or DoD Customers Highly Organized and the ability to function in a dynamic team environment Ability to perform diagnostic functions under pressure Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbal (includes proficiency with MS Office) Methodical logical thinking Ability to take action Does not require extensive supervision ABILITIES REQUIRED: In paragraph form, list abilities required for the position. The System AdministratorEngineer should have experience in supporting, building, tuning and maintaining servers in an enterprise environment that supports ESX and the virtual environment. The incumbent should have experience in supporting customer facing environments in a fast paced atmosphere and be a team oriented individual with the ability to promote the successful advancement of the group. The ability to interact with other technical and non-technical groups such as Project Managers, Application Owners, Data Base Administrators and Technical Architects is critical. Consistent performance, punctuality, positive attitude and the drive to succeed are all qualities that we are looking for. This position does require some after-hours scheduling to adhere to our change control process and the businesses that we support. Hands on functional experience with Vrops and Zerto is a Plus
