The Job/What You'll Do:

Adhesion is looking to add a Systems Engineer to the Adhesion Systems team. As a Systems Engineer on the team you will be responsible for assisting end users through Jira Tickets, routine system performance analysis, automation of system management, network troubleshooting, setup, system administration and more. You will be a primary problem solver for IT service issues. We are looking for someone that can come in with a willingness to learn and have a high attention to detail.

We can consider candidates for this position who are able to accommodate a hybrid work schedule and are close to our office in Charlotte, NC.

Responsibilities:

• Manage users and computers in Windows Active Directory, and Office 365
• Assist with the administration of the organization's servers and network
• Manage end-user hardware and software. Track equipment inventory and licensing
• Provide technical support for hardware and software issues
• Document and update procedures used by the Systems Team
• Monitor systems daily and respond immediately to security or usability concerns
• Assist the Systems Manager with any assigned project tasks, i.e., researching new products, testing equipment
• Learn and support the Adhesion Platform, in house developed SaaS platform.
• Work with the various departments to ensure all Systems are meeting their needs and work to improve workflows and automate tasks to alleviate bottlenecks.
• Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

• Ability to perform Tier I support for end-users using Jira Service Management
• Capable of troubleshooting Office 365 and Exchange Online issues
• Capable of troubleshooting laptop/desktop computers running Windows 11
• Azure (Entra) Active Directory Familiarity
• Ability to multitask as well as being able to collaborate in a team environment
• Strong attention to detail and positive attitude
• Ability to learn and retain new technology skills and troubleshooting processes.
• Experience with Windows Server 2019/2016
• Good Knowledge of Powershell, Python or alternative scripting languages.
• Microsoft SQL Server experience, administration, query writing
• Basic understanding of Networking protocols and practices.
• Ability to react to dynamic situations and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Education & Experience:

• 3-5 years of experience in field, preferred
• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience, preferred
