Maxar is looking to add a Systems Engineer to our team to support a customer who has a fast-paced and exciting mission within the Intelligence Community. This position will support stand-alone and integrated network and communication architectures for advanced technical missions.

The Systems Engineer will work independently and as part of a cross-functional team comprised of technical experts supporting an established and growing Intelligence Community (IC) mission. You will need to quickly understand complex technical concepts, make assessments, and articulate your recommendations to the customer. Previous experience working on-site to support the Department of Defense (DoD) and the Intelligence Community is highly desirable.

Day-to-Day with your Colleagues:
The Systems Engineer will provide engineering design and analysis assessments for the customer's projects involving sensors and/or communication systems. The Systems Engineer will be asked to provide technical expertise to support a variety of tasks to include, but not limited to:
Provide engineering, program management, and acquisition support to large, integrated programs, for all aspects of system development from mission analysis through verification/validation of system performance.
Plan, coordinate, and manage the systems engineering activities within a project.
Plan and support operations through risk mitigation, cost control, and schedules.
Advise on and provide custom electronics and technology solutions in support of critical operational requirements.
Evaluate current and future requirements from system operators for integration into operational users' Concept of Operations (CONOPS).
Advise on cross domain solutions to include integration of capabilities, updates/upgrades, data sources, dissemination paths, and extensible API development.
Support both legacy field devices and emerging communications technologies.
Develop plans and integrate user equipment with a variety of short- and long-range terrestrial and space-based RF networks.
Support the laboratory and field testing of developing communication technologies.
Minimum Requirements:
Must have active TS/SCI security clearance and be able and willing to obtain CI Polygraph
Bachelor's degree in an Electrical, Telecommunications, or similar Engineering discipline
Professional experience working in systems engineering
Knowledge of RF networks and engineering principals
Practical RF systems knowledge gained through design, development, testing, and implementation.
Preferred Skills:
Advanced degree in an Engineering discipline.
Experience working on-site at a customer location.
Experience working in DoD / IC.
Demonstrated ability to work effectively within or lead a team of peers, as well as excellent interpersonal and communications skills.
Ability to communicate highly technical analyses at a level comprehensible to non-technical audiences and senior-level government representatives.
Ability to clearly express in writing, technical analysis results and site characterizations.
Expert knowledge and use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Military or defense-related experience and an understanding of operational planning and functional defeat of hard targets.
Experience with DoD communications system architectures.
Experience with datalink waveform design.
DAWIA Level II or equivalent in the systems planning, research, development and engineering (SPRDE)-S&T functional areas.
DoD test and evaluation, SPRDE-S&T manager or systems engineering, program management, or contracting experience.

To accommodate all locations, we have listed the bottom to the top of the possible range, and will share the target range for a specific location during the recruiting discussion. Individual pay will be competitive based on a candidates unique set of knowledge, skills, and geographic diversity, with earnings potential commensurate with experience. The range for this position is:
