The company's hydrogen infrastructure team is seeking to deliver the hydrogen production and refuelling ecosystem required to fuel the transition to emission-free aviation. Requirements We are seeking an Applications Engineer at ZeroAvia who will play a crucial role in understanding the needs of customers, supporting customer applications, and providing feedback & observations to the engineering team for the continuous improvement of ZeroAvia products. Due to the nature of this role, the applicant must be a US Person. Responsibilities
- Operational and Functional Analysis of Customer Applications
- Support new business pursuits including:
- Performing Application Studies
- Cost Analysis
- Creation of Conceptual Presentations
- Ensure customer adherence to proper operational use of ZeroAvia products
- Assisting the customer in the most efficient use of ZeroAvia products
- Overall System Safety Assessment, Fault Hazard Analysis, and Single & Multiple Failure Analysis
- Perform in-field repairs, software updates, required maintenance of products
Experience & Requirements
- Critical Thinking and Analysis
- Ability to interact with Customers on Critical Solutions
- 3-5 years employed in a controls heavy industry (Agricultural, Automotive, Aviation, Industrial)
- Bachelor's Degree in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics Engineering, or similar
- Excellent level of spoken and written English (additional languages a plus)
- Experience with system controls involving mechanical structures, electromechanical components operated by software, and thermal cooling
- Familiarity with the design and assembly of fuel cell systems, balance of plant components, and fluid power principles
- Create system level models demonstrating operational parameters of ZeroAvia products in customer applications
- Low Voltage Vehicle Systems (12V, 24V)
- High Voltage Power Electronics (400V to 800V)
- Creating, Reading, Interpreting 2D Drawings /3D CAD Models
- Creating, Reading, Interpreting Electrical Schematics and Fluid P&ID Diagrams
- Creating and Following Instructional Workflows
- Experience with Plastic or Metal Fabrication and/or Rapid Prototyping Principles
- Use of Advanced CNC Machines and/or Additive Manufacturing, is a plus
- Wire Harness Construction, Repair, and Maintenance
- Use of Basic Hand Tool
- Knowledge of the Software Development Process (C, Matlab, Simulink, Python)
- Electronic Hardware Design (CAN, SPI, Ethernet)
- Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as good written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a small team
- Able to travel internationally

Benefits The wage scale or salary range for this position is between $105,000 - $128,000.
