Job Description CMCI is looking for an Operations and Maintenance Systems Engineer with strong systems and software experience to support a complex DHS effort. In this capacity, the Senior Systems Engineer will provide operations and maintenance (O&M) support on a mission-critical program supporting the CBP Passenger Systems Program Directorate (PSPD). PSPD supports the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and CBP critical missions, specifically screening and processing travelers at the ports of entry (POEs) into the United States. In this position, the Senior Systems Engineer will work with the application teams, end-users, PSPD Divisions, and other infrastructure teams to support production issues. **This position REQUIRES onsite support in Ashburn, VA, 2 times a week** Requirements Primary Responsibilities • BS/BA degree and 8 years of prior relevant experience or a Masters' degree with a minimum of 6 years of previous relevant experience; or 4 years of experience in lieu of degree • Experience with supporting applications within the AWS Cloud environment • Experience with troubleshooting application production problems and providing solutions promptly • Experience with monitoring production applications and databases • Ability to analyze recurring problems and initiate solutions for preventing reoccurrence • Experience in supporting O&M 24x7x365 operations including nights, weekends and holidays Knowledge of ticketing systems such as ServiceNow and JIRA Desired Skills and Experience • DoS Top Secret or DHS Full-BI • Solid experience with monitoring tools Dynatrace, Splunk, Kibana, and Grafana • Configuration of hardware devices • Experience with Linux and Windows scripting. Software installation • Experience with Agile/Scrum Methodology Customer Requirements Clearance - Ability to obtain and hold a public trust position and favorable suitability based on a CBP Background Investigation.
