Job Description:

Akkodis is partnering with a global payments tech company that offers payment platforms and financial technology solutions, local to Newnan, GA. This will be a 6 month contract-to-hire role, and the Systems Engineer will be responsible for providing on-site support and maintenance for our diverse range of hardware and software systems. This person will be a member of the Endpoint Management team, managing servers and Azure Virtual Desktop systems in the Microsoft Azure cloud, updating & supporting Linux, Windows, and SQL servers.

They will also ensure the smooth operation of Softeon hardware, including computers, printers, and the Softeon print server.

3-5 Technical Skills:

  • At least 2 years of experience in systems and/or IT support.
  • Experience managing and supporting Linux, Windows, and SQL servers.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure Virtual Desktop systems and cloud management in Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience in providing on-site support and maintenance for computers and printers.
  • Experience with Softeon hardware systems is preferred.
  • Prefers candidates that have worked in large, enterprise environments.

Team: 10+ team members

Responsibilities/Requirements:

  • Provide on-site support and maintenance for Softeon hardware, including computers and printers, at the Newnan, GA facility.
  • Manage and support the Softeon print server to ensure seamless printing operations.
  • Be an integral part of the Endpoint Management team, responsible for the management of servers, including Linux, Windows, and SQL servers.
  • Oversee the operation and support of Azure Virtual Desktop systems in the Microsoft Azure cloud.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Ensure all systems are maintained with the latest updates and patches.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to ensure coordination and integration of system changes and updates.
  • Document all support activities, solutions, and updates for future reference.

Interview Process: 30 min call with manager, panel interview with team
