At ManTech, you'll help protect our national security while working on innovative projects that offer opportunities for advancement.**ManTech** is seeking a motivated, careerand customer-oriented **Systems Engineer SME** to join our team in the **Fort Meade, Maryland** area.**Responsibilities include but are not limited to:**+ Responsible to perform and manage the full spectrum of systems engineering tasks to include requirements analysis, feature, system and interface design, system integration, system testing, as well as working with the modeling team in support of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and all associated documentation.+ May also take on the role as a product owner depending on the TDL project requirements, to lead a software development team while managing risks, escalating impediments, and helping to drive continuous process improvement.+ Performs technical support, coordination, and execution of systems engineering activities such as feature/requirements analysis, design, implementation planning, integration and test, sustainment, documentation, deployment, and system assessment.+ Performs systems engineering tasks within time-boxed (e.g., agile) sprints and releases, supports sprint and release planning activities and the creation of and/or input to work tickets (e.g., Jira), as well as program/system documentation using collaboration software (e.g., Confluence).+ Supports and employs MBSE approach for systems planning, design, execution, and sustainment in coordination with the Systems Engineering team members.+ Assists with daily scrums and document inputs/actions/status, holds Agile ceremony meetings with the software development team, and participates in release planning, scrum of scrums, bug triage and other pertinent meetings.+ The SME level Systems Engineer is a consultant to the whole Systems Engineering team, and provides thought leadership, problem solving, and participates on difficult situations to leverage the capability of the Systems Engineering team as a whole.**Basic Qualifications:**+ Bachelor's degree in STEM or related discipline.+ Twelve or more (12+) years of systems engineering experience.+ IAT II Certification - Must currently have or be willing to obtain within 6 months of starting**Preferred Qualifications:**+ Master's degree in STEM or related discipline.+ Relevant industry standard certifications such as INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP),+ Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP) or OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional-Advanced (OCSMP-A) certifications.+ Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies**Clearance Requirements:**+ This position requires an active TS/SCI with the ability to obtain or maintain polygraph**Physical Requirements:**+ Must be able to be in a stationary position more than 50% of the time+ Must be able to communicate, converse, and exchange information with peers and senior personnel+ Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a computer+ The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
