The position is also responsible for working with and becoming knowledgeable in other operating systems and platforms as needed to meet business requirements.Responsible for technical architecture and makes recommendations related to Microsoft Windows.Is a top-level technical contributor with advanced knowledge and experience in the area of Microsoft Windows and related hardware and software.Responsible for the design, configuration, maintenance and support of Windows servers, collaboration systems, storage area network, enterprise backup, virtual servers and systems management environments.Presents information to management that may result in the purchase and installation of hardware, software and equipment.Authors, reviews and maintains technical documentation and library of functional specifications.Acts as an internal consultant, mentor and provider of technical guidanceDesign: Works with management, peers and vendors to design and implement hardware/software configurations, logical models, operational management models, and business continuity plans for systems under management.Support: Works with management, peers and vendors to provide ongoing monitoring, performance tuning, implementation, and fault root cause analysis for systems under management.Technical Writing: Creation and maintenance of troubleshooting and operational documentation for all systems under management. Authors and peer-reviews knowledgebase articles documenting fault root causes and their respective resolutions.Training: Provides and receives cross-discipline training in order to ensure maximum availability of systems under management.Continuous Improvement: Actively pursues opportunities, as an individual and as part of a group, to improve knowledge, tools and processes for systems under management.Provides on-call 24/7 production support for designated systems.Must possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating systems and related hardware, network and authentication services, and mass storage devices and their related technologies.Experience in using diagnostic tools to troubleshoot complex problems.Some travel may be required for this positionSupports established enterprise Shared Services Agreement and adheres to ongoing collaboration efforts amongst all Mohegan propertiesThe Systems Engineer – Windows is responsible for the strict adherences to the Information Technology Department compliance policies, internal control procedures, Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board control specifications and the Casino's policies and procedures. Performs other related duties as assigned. Promotes superior guest service.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field, and four (4) years of experience or Associates Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field, and eight (8) years of experienceTwo (2) years experience providing support for an enterprise Microsoft Windows infrastructureIn-depth technical knowledge and experience with Microsoft Exchange, VMWare, enterprise backup systems, Altiris and storage area networkingKnowledge of Linux operating system and architecture is recommended but not required.Ability to obtain and maintain gaming licensure in one or more jurisdictionsAbility to maintain a 24x7x365 environmentExcellent written and oral communicationsAbility to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environmentExtensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environmentWork Shift:RegularKnock, knock.
