- Is the steward of the retirement savings for millions of customers worldwide. The portfolio managers who manage over $7.5 Trillion in Equity funds are among the most professional, demanding, and thoughtful customers in the industry. They use a series of world-class tools requiring performant deterministic applications with accurate data and portfolio holdings that are ready on-time every day. The run organization is responsible for making the software go, monitoring batch jobs, applications, business processes and answering customer questions. The candidate will be working on the Equity Trade floor providing production support for our portfolio management and trading crew, capital markets, security lending, data (benchmark and security reference) and Investment book of records teams. Supported applications are a mix of built and bought software, SaaS solutions, modern AWS microservice architectures and monoliths.
- The ideal candidate brings a blend of business and technical acumen. An understanding of the portfolio management / trading life cycle is ideal as is an understanding of and ability to troubleshoot technical and business issues.
Core Responsibilities Provides intermediate support of applications and databases for software. Coordinates and technical procedures to resolve production issues after evaluation. Monitors production systems for alerts, outages, and system issues. Researches issues and performs root cause analysis to minimize risk. Implements solutions for issues and appropriate development initiatives. Ensures that support requests are resolved within the service level agreements. Communicates statuses and resolutions. Writes and updates production support documentation, policies, and procedures. Identifies opportunities for improvement and makes recommendations. Assists in implementing changes. Establishes and maintains robust working relationships with business partners. Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned. Systems Operations Analyst: Systems Operations Analysts will be responsible for monitoring development and production systems to verify that all systems are up and fully functional.
