Description

The AppleCare Technologies Systems Quality team has an immediate opening for a Systems Quality Automation Engineer. You will be tasked with working alongside project PMs, Business SMEs, and development teams to fanatically ensure the highest quality test automation for our business and stakeholders while reducing manual test efforts.

Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and synthesize business requirements across multiple regions and ensure full coverage of test scenario automation.
  • Evaluate, select and formulate the best usage of test automation tools and future alignment for different applications and business processes.
  • Lead automation script development and the optimization of those scripts where necessary.
  • High level of proficiency with demonstrated experience of implementing scripting solutions for repetitive tasks.
  • Recommends new tools, techniques and methodologies needed to enhance productivity and quality.
  • Analytical capability to synthesize large amounts of data into a clear story and assess business process improvement.
  • Ability to persuade, influence and/or drive engagement.
  • Communication and coordination with globally distributed teams.
  • Working knowledge and hands-on experience with industry best practices in software testing.
  • High level of professionalism, energy and sense of urgency to “make things happen.”
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • 5 - 7 years of experience in Test Automation.
    • Bachelors in Computer Science or related technical field.
    • Experience developing in Python or Java, familiar with databases, SQL, and scripting languages.
    • Excellent knowledge of QA automation methodologies, processes, and tools.
    • Experience managing multiple automation journeys across companies and testing phases from Integration Testing or/and end-to-end User Acceptance Testing.
    • Experience designing, developing & implementing test automation frameworks for large integrated systems cutting across multiple tech stacks.
    • Solid foundation in computer science, with proficiencies in data structures, algorithms, refactoring and test automation.
    • Working knowledge of SAP.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Masters in Computer Science or related technical field.
    • Strong level of customer focus and attention to detail.
    • Excellent teamwork skills and ability to influence cross-functional teams and quickly establish trust and credibility.
    • Ability to demonstrate good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
    • Ability to think & execute test automation from a user's perspective.
    • Tool & tech agnostic and should be able to write code in different languages.
    • Preferred certifications in testing, programming languages, test automation tools and frameworks.
    • Quality Assurance certification (ISTQB, ASQ, etc) and/or PMI certification is highly desirable.

    At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $165,500 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
