Job Description Join Con Edison as a systems specialist to lead our data governance (DG) program, delivering essential data capabilities to business partners and driving data maturity in key domains. As a program manager and champion of our vision, you'll support the Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) department in its mission to implement data strategies, create value through data and analytics products, manage the Enterprise Data Analytics Platform, and operate a robust DG framework. The Data Governance Office within ED&A operationalizes DG through collaboration, process and policy management, and technology standards and solutions. We're seeking a highly qualified Data Governance Program Manager to work closely with business stakeholders to ensure responsible data-driven decision-making and support Con Edison's strategic objectives. Responsibilities
Core Responsibilities - Manage a small team within the Data Governance Office (DGO) focused on program, stakeholder, and communications management and driving cross-organizational engagement
- Own and manage regular project activities for the Data Governance program, including the creation, organization, and delivery of project artifacts and materials. This encompasses project plans and presentations, financial and resource estimation, forecasting and budgeting, status reporting, and ensuring compliance with company software development standards and policies.
- Work collaboratively with team members in Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A), Enterprise Architecture (EA) and business partners to refine the data governance framework and expand its reach.
- Develop, monitor and produce reporting for metrics to measure team and program success and quality assurance checks to measure process compliance
- Drive implementation and evangelization of tools and technology to support data governance, and direct procurement and integration processes as needed. This includes at a minimum the Companys enterprise data catalog and data quality tooling.
- Assist in the creation and refinement of relevant standards, corporate policies and IT procedures to support data governance
- Support and facilitate data issue management processes and forums
- Work with Cybersecurity and leads for data sharing and data privacy as needed to identify, analyze, and monitor risks related to data governance.
- Support compliance with data retention, classification and privacy policies, and data subject rights requirements as needed

Qualifications
Required Education/Experience - Master's Degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Business, or technology-centric field and with a minimum of (2) years relevant experience; or
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Business, or technology-centric field and with a minimum of (3) years relevant experience; or
- Associate's Degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Business, or technology-centric field and with a minimum of (5) years relevant experience; or
- High School Diploma/GED and with a minimum of (7) years relevant experience;
Preferred Education/Experience - Master's Degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Business, or technology-centric field and with a minimum of three (2) years relevant experience
- Bachelor's Degree preferably in Computer Science, Engineering, Math, Business, or technology-centric field and with a minimum of three (3) years relevant experience
Relevant Work Experience - Experience planning for, developing and delivering IT solutions, as lead or team member
- Experience developing project plans, and identifying and mitigating project risks, issues and interdependencies
- Experience developing cost and resource forecasts, and managing budgets
- Experience driving engagement, leading and facilitating meetings, presenting to project stakeholders and leadership
- Familiarity with data technologies, including but not limited to data governance, data privacy or data management solutions, data modeling and/or analytics
- Demonstrated ability to learn new skills and technologies as required
- Familiarity with data asset management
- Experience developing and managing change around new processes/procedures
- Experience working in a regulatory, risk, compliance, or governance environment
- Experience writing and reviewing corporate or departmental policies and procedures, software standards, or reference architectures
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum framework
- Familiarity with SaaS implementations or hybrid cloud/on prem environments
- Experience with Azure Devops, PowerBI, and/or MS Purview

Additional Physical Demands - Must be able to respond to Company emergencies by performing a System Emergency Assignment to restore service to our customers.
