This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced systems support specialist to provide advanced endpoint device, intermediate application, and basic network infrastructure support throughout our hospitals and outpatient physical therapy clinics in the greater Central Texas area, which includes:

* BSW Institute for Rehabilitation Hospital - Lakeway, TX

* Select Rehabilitation Hospital - Temple, TX

* 35 - BSW Outpatient PT clinics in Central Texas

Select Medical is looking for a proactive, results-oriented Regional Systems Support Specialist (Level 2). The Regional Systems Support Specialist (Level 2) is responsible for delivering quality customer service while providing technical services in the installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, troubleshooting and diagnosis of endpoint devices, peripheral equipment, and software. They will also install, troubleshoot, maintain and repair local-area and wide-area network connectivity as directed by corporate hardware teams. They are primarily responsible to provide end user support and assistance by following up with users on tickets assigned to the team through the Solution Center. Travel to multiple facilities in a local geographic area is required to provide appropriate on-site support. They will proactively manage computing hardware, perform disaster recovery equipment checks and maintain hospital data infrastructure documentation as well as have responsibility to participate in team projects. The Regional Systems Support Specialist (Level 2) reports to the Manager, Systems Support.

Responsibilities

* Respond in a timely manner to assigned items (Incidents, Tasks, and Projects) related but not limited to computer hardware, software and network connectivity. Ensure that all items are updated with current status regularly.

* Ensure timely escalation of complex customer issues by documenting the impact to the customer. Initiate escalation as appropriate and ensure management awareness of problems that are severe in nature or that are exceeding documented SLAs.

* Assist in the planning and installation of hardware systems, software, and networks at regional locations.

* Provide onsite support at regional locations as required for site opening/closing and major hardware, software, or infrastructure upgrades

* .Maintain records and documentation related to network nodes, network equipment, data cabling, equipment location, and software revisions.

* Install, test, and troubleshoot software on network workstations.

* Interface with the other IS teams as requested to support all activities related to the roll-out of new releases of production systems and applications.

* Assist in Disaster Recovery Test exercises as requested and be responsible for designated systems.

* Participate in departmental projects through completion as assigned by management.

* Work with Systems Administrators and Engineers to provide assistance as needed.

* Participate in relevant information sharing activities.

* Monitor and report on any security violations related to the unwarranted access to corporate data.

* Help build team spirit by assisting other staff members and promoting a positive workplace.

* Maintain awareness of the rapidly changing environment and recommend cost efficient techniques.

* Recognize potential areas where policies and procedures require change, or where new ones need to be developed, especially regarding future business expansion. Submit recommendations as appropriate.

* Support the mission and direction of Select Medical, both within the Information Services department and throughout the organization.

* Ensure all changes comply with change management policies and procedures.

* Complete any activities, tasks, and/or projects as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

* BS or BA degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience

* In Lieu of undergraduate degree, the ratio is 1:1 meaning one year of College equals one year of work experience and vice versa

* 5+ years of experience in Information Systems

* 3+ years of hands on, end-user support for endpoint devices, operating systems and network infrastructure devices

* Knowledge of Microsoft productivity application suites and experience supporting browser-based technologies

* Regular regional travel required, and availability beyond standard business hours to address mission critical issues that may affect patient care

Preferred Qualifications:

* Telephony, VoIP, and clinical device support a plus (i.e. telemetry, glucometers, RX dispensing hardware, nurse call, etc).

* 7+ years of experience in Information Systems

* Healthcare and clinical experience preferred.

* Health application support including Epic and Medhost.

* Excellent analytical, problem-solving and customer service skills.

* Excellent verbal and writing skills.

* Excellent time management and organizational skills, work independently, and have a sense of urgency prioritizing resolution of issues that affect business workflow and patient care.

* Desktop and laptop hardware, iPad, and peripheral support experience (HP & Ricoh printers, Fujitsu scanners, etc).
