For additional information visit PURPOSE : Employee is expected to support and maintain systems and to educate users. The employee should be alert to all user needs and carry out tasks and responsibilities for the job. These include high quality professional service, thorough and accurate documentation, and a willingness to work closely with coworkers, administrators and managers. Prompt assistance to other units/departments is expected, as well as prompt assistance within the employees own unit/department. They should be capable of identifying, correcting and reporting any system malfunctions. The employee is expected to carry out all duties while maintaining compliance and confidentiality and promoting the mission and philosophy of the organization. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Answers IT helpdesk phone calls as assigned by manager and assists end users as necessary. Assures continuity of computer systems and applications for all system users. Installs approved software and hardware products. Repairs hardware as necessary to include PCs, faxes, phones and other equipment. Tracks and logs incoming/outgoing inventory. Provides technical assistance and advises users as needed. Recommends changes in software and hardware to improve computer capabilities. Maintains and logs all issues using department tracking software. Works effectively in a team environment to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues. Learns and uses products to help streamline support functionalities. Meets expectations for attendance and punctuality. Travels to and from CMS/ARC locations as required. OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Performs other duties as assigned. Works overtime as required. Works on-call for all periods as assigned by manager. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Experience: 1-2 years of professional experience in a customer-facing, technical role / help desk role preferred. An information technology related associates or bachelor degree or other appropriate technical certifications may also be helpful and may substitute for this type of professional experience. Excellent working knowledge/experience of PCs, printers, and fax machines required Certificate/License: none Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Working knowledge of current Windows operating system versions. Professional, courteous, friendly demeanor and exceptional customer service skills. Excellent written and verbal communication and follow-up skills are required. Strong analytical and problem solving skills (essential). Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Good time management skills. Telecommunications skills helpful. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to handle competing priorities. Ability to work independently. Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment where the technical challenges are diverse. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.
