- Directly supervises dealers.
- Monitors the performance of subordinates, ensuring adherence to departmental policies and procedures.
- Ensures game protection is utilized
- Inspect cards and equipment to be used in games to ensure they are in good condition.
- Monitors to ensure that team members provide prompt and courteous guest service while maintaining the integrity of the game at all times.
- Maintain knowledge of basic strategy and signs of advantage play.
- Accurately tracks the table drop and monitors player win/loss and table win/losses.
- Reports any major fluctuations of a game to the Manager and/or Director of Table Games.
- Able to resolve guest complaints in such a manner that the integrity of the game is not compromised.
- Maintains proper chip inventory for all tables assigned and determines the need for fills/credits.
- Understands and comprehends all departments policies and procedures.
- Explains and interprets the rules of the games to guests.
- Maintains knowledge and ability to deal all games within the department.
- In the absence of the Table Games Shift Manager, coordinates and schedules the opening and closing of all games.
- Verifies and awards jackpots and other promotional winners.
- Must utilize game protection on all games.
- Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing their areas to create a safe and sanitary environment for internal and external guests.
- Performs all functions in accordance with Tribal, Federal, State Health & Safety Regulations, Gaming Regulations, and BlueWater Resort & Casino policies and procedures.
- All other duties as assigned (job description permitting), or as approved by the Tribal Gaming Agency.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Must adhere to all aspects of the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) program and its regulations, including, but not limited to, tile 31, Suspicious Activity Reporting and Customer Identification requirements.
- Must have knowledge of all programs utilized in the pit are including but not limited to Player tracking systems.
- Must possess basic mathematical ability.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
- Must possess basic computer skills and use of computer programs such as but not limited to; Microsoft word and excel.
- Must maintain the ability to deal all games within the pit area.
- Must have the ability to make gambling related decisions and deal with a variety of variables in situations where conflicting information exists.
QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS: Must have dealt at minimum three (3) months. Must have a High School diploma or GED equivalent. Must pass dealer audition and supervisor proficiency test. Must have flexibility to work various shifts including, rotating shifts, weekends and holidays. Must be able to adhere to all BlueWater Resort & Casino and CDC guidelines in regards to the wearing of PPE (including but not limited to a mask and gloves). Must attend in-house comprehensive cleaning and disinfecting training on COVID-19 and other infectious diseases.PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne practices, including second-hand environmental smoke. The employee may be exposed to the risks associated in attempting to resolve issues with extremely irate or difficult guests or staff members. The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate. Flashing lights from slot machines and band lighting.
