(CDI) is seeking a skilled Tailman to join our pipe crew and play a pivotal role in underground utility installation projects. This position is integral to ensuring the safe and efficient installation of water, sewer, and drainage systems, maintaining high-quality standards, and adhering to project specifications.   • Trenching and Shoring: Assist with excavation by trenching and shoring work areas.
  • Pipe Handling: Handle, position, and secure pipes and materials for installation.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety procedures and regulations to maintain a safe job site.
  • Equipment Operation: Operate equipment like forklifts or other machinery to support the pipe crew.
  • Materials Management: Manage inventory for project materials, including ordering and tracking.
  • Quality Control: Ensure all work aligns with project specifications, blueprints, and standards.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with the pipe crew and supervisors for seamless operations.
  • Communication: Report progress, issues, and equipment needs effectively to supervisors.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records, including logs, reports, and safety documentation.
  • Problem Solving: Address and resolve operational challenges that may arise during projects.
Qualifications
  • Experience in underground utility installation is preferred but not required.
  • Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation to job sites.
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Strong team collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Familiarity with safety standards and construction site practices.

Work Schedule
