ENVIRONMENT

The purpose of North Star's Talent Acquisition and Recruiting Associate function is to enhance sourcing volume and assist the recruiters on providing a referrable recruiting experience. This includes resume review, candidate scheduling, interview preparation, refreshing job postings, and career fair optimization.

The Talent Acquisition and Recruiting Associate works in concert with the recruiting team, sales leaders, accounting/compensation department, as well as firm leadership to assure results. At the operational level, this means 90 candidates accept offers, 60 of these complete their exams and become licensed, and 30 will be launched each year as full-time advisors. A major measurement of this function is the high rate of advisor validation. This process results in North Star becoming a place where talented individuals come to succeed.

Position Summary

  • Act as a peer contributor in Minneapolis with National Director of Recruiting.
  • Schedule qualified candidate phone screens with recruiters
  • Prepare interview collateral for upcoming interviews
  • Generate offer letters for recruits
  • Coordinate advisor onboarding, orientation, and North Star academy training.
  • Owner of North Star's career fair strategy
  • Maintain and coordinate lists of COI's and College/University Leadership.
  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum requirements in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses /certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Required

  • Experience in the profession at some level.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Strong and effective communication skills
  • Strong leadership and advocacy skills. (Make the news not report the news)
  • Success in a four-year degree program or equivalent work experience.
  • A history of demonstrated achievement and getting results.

Preferred

  • Experience as a successful financial advisor
  • Knowledge of how to run an effective practice
  • Has completed exams to be an advisor
