About the Role

The Talent Acquisition Associate assists the Human Resources department in carrying out various programs and procedures for all Rising Ground's employees, which may include: sourcing and screening resumes, conducting interviews, support onboarding processes, managing communication, responding to employee requests and questions, maintaining ATS and HRIS database and personnel files, compliance and internal controls for our programs. This critical support position will supply services and solutions to support the people, processes, and technologies within the Human Resources talent acquisition and onboarding areas. As part of our People team, you'll help us attract, hire and retain the top talent we need to achieve our vision.

Responsibilities

* Source, screen, interview and assist with onboarding of qualified candidates to fulfill entry level roles in multiple departments internally.

* Utilize multiple avenues to find the best talent including job boards, social media, hiring events, networking (job resource centers e.g. workforce1), etc.

* Maintain and develop a pipeline of eligible candidates for future open entry-level positions.

* Assist and/or attend job/career fairs and other Talent Acquisition activities as necessary.

* Offer support to the overall TA unit, with the ability to travel to different worksites to deliver candidate and employee-focused experiences.

* Facilitate the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth transition into Rising Ground.

* Delivers a superb candidate experience that begins with the initial phone call all the way through delivering onboarding.

* Creates, compiles, or designs services and events that communicate organization's information, services aligned by mission; Builds and manages employer branding and visibility to external candidates.

* Implements recruitment processes related to the recruitment cycle, vacancy announcement, screening, coordinating interviews, conducting reference checks and informing employees of their hiring status.

* Supports the onboarding process for new hires, transfers, and temporary staff.

* Collaborate with program leaders to develop job descriptions and job posts.

* Conducts review of employee documents and ensures all required clearances are met in accordance with funder and agency requirements.

* Assists with performing employee background checks including but not limited to: Fingerprinting appointments, Statewide Central Registry Checks, Sex Offender Registry Checks, SEL, Streamline Verify, and SSN.

* Works integrally with associated teams to create, manage, coordinate and deliver New Hire Orientation and training (globally) to internal and external partners and customers.

* All other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements:

* Authorized to work in the U.S.

* Ability to work in-person in New York City (NY) for at least 3 days or more per week.

* Ability to travel to other Rising Ground sites as necessary.

Corporate Office: This role operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday in our Headquarters at 1333 Broadway office in Midtown Manhattan. Work hours options are 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, 9:30 am - 5:30 pm, 10 am - 6 pm.

Qualifications

* Minimum of High School Diploma/GED.

* Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications or related field. bachelor's degree in human resources management, communication, or a similar field preferred.

* Minimum of one year of experience in Sourcing, Recruiting, Talent Operations, Human Resources or high-end Customer Service.

* Proficiency in using business software applications including recruitments systems (ATS), Google Apps, MS Suite, and HRIS (ADP Workforce Now is a plus) and/or ability to learn.

* Knowledge of operative regulatory compliance and best practice recommendations.

* Skills in problem solving to provide issue resolution and troubleshoot where needed.

* Ability to maintain focus and produce project deliverables according to established deadlines.

* Exemplary time-management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

* Strong communication skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy and must be able to multitask effectively.

* Strong discretion in dealing with highly confidential and sensitive information.

* Ability to adapt and adjust to change, quick learner with technology aptitude, and excellent customer service attitude.

Our Compensation & Benefits

The pay rate for this position is between $58,000 - $65,000/Yr., depending on experience and fit for the role. Rising Ground offers competitive compensation based on the midpoint of the market among not-for-profit organizations of similar size. We believe in compensating staff members fairly in relation to each other, their qualifications, and their impact on behalf of the organization, and take internal and external equity seriously.
