The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for managing the end-to-end recruitment process for our heavy civil construction projects. This role will focus on sourcing, recruiting, and hiring top-tier professionals in various roles including engineers, project managers, and field workers. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the construction industry, particularly heavy civil projects, and a proven track record in talent acquisition. Key Responsibilities:
- Recruitment Strategy: Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract skilled professionals in the heavy civil construction industry.
- Sourcing: Utilize various sourcing methods including job boards, social media, industry events, and networking to identify potential candidates.
- Screening & Interviewing: Conduct initial screenings and interviews to evaluate candidates' skills, experience, and fit for the organization.
- Collaboration: Partner with hiring managers and project leaders to understand hiring needs and create detailed job descriptions.
- Talent Pipeline: Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified candidates for current and future positions.
- Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, salary benchmarks, and competitor hiring practices to inform recruitment strategies.
- Candidate Experience: Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process, from application to onboarding.
- Compliance: Adhere to all legal and company-specific recruitment policies and procedures.
- Reporting: Track and report on key recruitment metrics to assess effectiveness and make improvements.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2-3 years of experience in talent acquisition or recruitment, preferably within the construction or heavy civil industry.
- Knowledge: Strong understanding of heavy civil construction roles and industry-specific requirements.
- Skills: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships with candidates and hiring managers.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Certifications: Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP or PHR are a plus.
