Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Five (5) full-time years of experience in recruitment or talent acquisition. Two (2) full-time years in a supervisory role. Proficiency in recruitment software, applicant tracking systems (ATS), and/or HR analytics tools.
Preferred qualifications:
Master's degree (foreign equivalent or higher). Experience working in a unionized environment. SHRM certification. Recruitment or talent acquisition experience within higher education.
Brief Description of Duties:
Reporting to the Director of Talent Acquisition and Total Rewards, the Talent Acquisition Manager will lead and manage a team on all aspects of the recruitment process to attract, identify, and hire top talent for the institution. This role involves developing and implementing effective recruiting strategies, fostering relationships with academic and administrative departments, and ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience.
The ideal candidate will have a commitment to diversity and inclusion, and the ability to align recruitment practices with the institution's strategic goals. Additionally, will have proven experience in developing and implementing successful talent acquisition strategies. To be successful in this role, you will need excellent interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties:
* Talent Acquisition Strategy Development: Design, implement, and manage comprehensive talent acquisition strategies tailored to the unique needs of academic and administrative departments within the institution.
* Full-Cycle Recruitment: Oversee the entire recruitment process, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and extending job offers to candidates.
* Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with department heads, hiring managers, and HR colleagues to understand staffing needs, provide guidance on recruitment best practices, and ensure alignment with institutional goals.
* Candidate Sourcing: Utilize various sourcing methods, including job boards, social media, professional networks, and campus recruitment events, to identify and attract a diverse pool of qualified candidates.
* Employer Branding: Develop and promote the institution's employer brand to attract top talent, ensuring that all recruitment marketing materials reflect the institution's values and mission.
* Diversity and Inclusion: Implement and promote recruitment practices that enhance diversity and inclusion within the workforce, including outreach to underrepresented groups.
* Data Analysis and Reporting: Track and analyze recruitment metrics to assess the effectiveness of talent acquisition strategies, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions for continuous improvement.
* Compliance and Policies: Ensure all recruitment activities are compliant with federal, state, and local employment laws, as well as institutional policies and guidelines. Advise and assist university officers and administrators/supervisors in the interpretation of policies and procedures related to employment functions.
* Candidate Experience: Manage the candidate experience, ensuring timely communication, a smooth interview process, and a positive interaction with the institution from application to onboarding.
* Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor a team of recruiters or talent acquisition specialists, providing guidance and support to achieve recruitment goals.
* Vendor Management: Maintain compliance with current contracts and work with vendors and Procurement to resolve any issues with service.
* Other duties or projects as assigned as appropriate to rank and departmental mission.

This is a Management Confidential position. This is a full time appointment. FLSA Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Minimum salary threshold must be met to maintain FLSA exemption.
